Four members of the Working Group of Dendroecology (https://web.natur.cuni.cz/…ro/) participated in the second edition of the workshop “Novel Approaches in Tree-Ring Research,” held from September 24–26 in Bucharest, Romania. This traditional workshop provides an excellent opportunity to discuss methodological advancements in tree-ring research and to share them with PhD students and early-career researchers. Jan Tumajer delivered a lecture on the VS-Lite model, a non-linear model that simulates the response of wood formation to climatic variations on an intra-annual scale. Three PhD students from our group — Janet Gaby Inga Guillen, Revaz Kvaratskhelia, and Piyush Yele — also took part in the event.
